Successful Summer Camp in 2009
Scottsdale Christian Academy was excited to offer an amazing opportunity last summer for
students entering K-6th grade. With 8 weeks of themed activities, children had a wonderful experience. Camp themes changed weekly and included an off-site field trip, a swim day, and an organized gymnastics time.
The Bible was integrated daily along with various opportunities for arts and crafts,
outside structured time and free time, computers, games, group activities, cooking,
science... 2 snacks per day and a quiet time for reading and resting following lunch.
The program ran from 8:30am-3:30pm, with morning care beginning at 7:00am and after care until 5:30 pm, at no additional cost. The camp was staffed by SCA teachers along with college and high school students currently working in our aftercare program. All staff and faculty were CPR and First Aid certified.
